__Lesson 2-3__

1) Function Machine - Choose "beginner" and choose "Computer decides input". Your goal is to figure out the rule. If the rule is to multiply by 2 you would type "x2", add 3 would be "+3", etc.

2) Find the Function - Click "start" and then click "Find the Function!". Determine what the rule is and write it in the box.

3) Stop That Creature - Once you think you know the rule click on the question marks and enter it in and click "ok".

__Exploring 3-D shapes...__

1) Introduction - Learn the difference between pyramids and prisms. Read the entire webpage and then at the bottom of the page click “click here” under the words “Let’s Practice!” and take the quiz.

2) Label 3-D Shapes - Match the label with the proper shape by dragging it on the shape.

3) Interactive 3-D Shapes - Scroll down to the section titled “Explore and Play with Prisms”. Play around with and explore all of the different prisms. Be sure to explore each of the prisms listed at the top of the activity by clicking on them. Also be sure to put your mouse over top of each of the words (Faces, Vertices, Edges) at the bottom of the activity to see what each of those words mean.

4) 3-D Shapes - Click the word “3-D shapes” and then click on the “3-Dimensions” tab. Then click “Next” and choose a shape. Play around with the shape and take note of the net shown on the side (a net can be folded to make a 3-D shape). When you are done, click “close” in the bottom right-hand corner and do the same thing for the rest of the shapes.

5) Hidden Shapes - Match the highlighted shape with the correct name. Keep playing until you get them all correct on the first try.

6) Field Trip - This site may give you a “may contain viruses” message. Click OK. Play at least two rounds of the game.

__Integers (lessons 1-2)__
